Quality Control Technician

The Job:


- Perform inspection & verification of precision machining parts and electromechanical components to ensure conformance to product specification & customer requirement

- Responsible for Supplier First Article submission report and approval by ensuring the quality of the first article submission samples, document package and deadline commitment to customer timeline

- Work with supplier in guiding, reviewing and verifying samples to be localized for customer

- Formulate, establish & implement Inspection Plan for incoming parts

- Interface with suppliers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives. Follow up closely with supplier on corrective & preventive actions required

- Track & monitor supplier performance. Conduct regular reviews & audits on key suppliers manufacturing processes and control plan to meet quality performance metrics

- Performance routine maintenance & calibration of precision measuring equipments

 

Requirements:


- NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical or Precision Engineering

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in QC function in a manufacturing environment

- Able to interpret Technical/Mechanical drawing with good understanding of Geometric Dimension & Tolerances

- Hands-on knowledge & experience in using Co-ordinate Measuring Machine, Smart Scope & Optical Flats

- Proficient in MS Excel & Words for generating report

- Independent, strong commitment and good interpersonal skills

- Able to travel (local & overseas) to conduct source inspection & supplier audit when required
